Join the Society for Underwater Technology (SUT-US) as it celebrates its 60th Anniversary with an evening of learning, networking, and recognition. The event begins with the annual Curran Lecture, followed by a networking reception, the 60th Anniversary Celebration, and the Scholarship Award Ceremony.

Curran Lecture

This year’s distinguished lecturer is Dr. James G. Bellingham, PhD, Bloomberg Distinguished Professor of Exploration Robotics and Executive Director of the Johns Hopkins Institute for Assured Autonomy.

Dr. Bellingham is a recognized leader in autonomous marine robotics with more than 30 years of experience advancing autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs) for defense, industry, and scientific research. His career includes leadership roles at Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute, MIT Sea Grant, and Bluefin Robotics. He has led ocean exploration missions around the world and is a member of the National Academy of Engineering.
