Join the Society of Petroleum Engineers Gulf Coast Section for one of the industry’s most anticipated annual networking and fundraising events — the 26th Annual Sporting Clays Tournament and 13th Annual Food Frenzy Competition.
Open to shooters of all experience levels, this long-standing tradition combines friendly competition, industry networking, great food, and outdoor fun, all while supporting SPE student scholarships and future energy industry professionals.
Whether you’re competing on the course, sponsoring a station, or participating in the Food Frenzy cook-off, this event offers an outstanding opportunity to connect with colleagues, entertain clients, and support the next generation of engineering talent.

- 8:30 AM – Participant Check-In & Breakfast
- Sporting Clays Tournament – 100-round course across three shooting courses
- Food Frenzy Competition – Entertainment, food, drinks, and team voting throughout the day

Registration Information
Ammunition is included for 12-gauge and 20-gauge shooters. Participants who prefer to bring their own shells must use:
- No. 7-1/2 shot
- No. 8 shot
- No. 9 shot only
When registering, please include each team member’s email address to help streamline check-in and ensure everyone receives important tournament updates, including course assignments and start times.
Tournament supporters and sponsors will receive first consideration for preferred course placement.
Food Frenzy Competition
The 13th Annual Food Frenzy Competition returns as one of the day’s most popular attractions. Participating teams will set up adjacent to the pavilion and provide food, beverages, and entertainment for attendees throughout the event.
Each shooter will receive one poker chip to vote for their favorite Food Frenzy team. The winning competitor will receive a commemorative trophy.

Clays Supporter Donation
Support SPE-GCS scholarships with a contribution of any amount. Supporter names will be displayed on event signage.
Cancellation Policy
Registration and payment must be completed in full to guarantee attendance. Individuals with incomplete or unpaid registrations will be considered walk-in attendees and admitted only as space permits.
No refunds will be issued for no-shows or cancellations received within 48 hours of the event. Substitutions are permitted within the same organization during the same calendar year.
