Benefitting Kids’ Meals

Proceeds from this event directly support Kids’ Meals, Inc., whose mission is to end childhood hunger and help families break the cycle of poverty.

Since 2006, Kids’ Meals has served as a lifeline for food-insecure preschool-aged children who are often ineligible for school-based meal programs. Harris County ranks #1 in the nation for child food insecurity among highly populated counties, with more than 100,000 children living in food-insecure homes.

Each weekday, Kids’ Meals delivers more than 11,000 free, healthy meals directly to the doorsteps of Houston’s hungriest preschool-aged children. When school is out, every child in these households up to age 18 also receives a healthy meal — totaling more than 16,000 meals served per day.
