Empowering the Next Generation: Technology, Talent, and Transition

The SPE North America Student Symposium (NASS) is an annual event organized by SPE students across North America. In 2026, it is hosted by Louisiana State University in collaboration with student chapters from across the continent. This event provides students with opportunities to learn, network, and engage with industry leaders.

Event Schedule

Day 1 – Thursday, February 26: Technical sessions on the symposium theme and an exhibition for networking with professionals and companies.
Day 2 – Friday, February 27: Field trip.
Day 3 – Saturday, February 28: North America PetroBowl Championship (separate registration required).

About the Symposium

The NASS provides students with insights into the oil and gas industry from leaders, technical experts, and advocates. It offers numerous networking opportunities for students, faculty, and industry professionals from across North America. The theme for 2026 is Empowering the Next Generation: Technology, Talent, and Transition.

North America PetroBowl

The PetroBowl competition will be held alongside the symposium.
