Description:
We are seeking a candidate for the role of Senior Account Manager at Hawk Valve to support TX and LA regional areas. This will be an outside sales/customer relationship focused role. The role will have a primary focus on selling high pressure valves, fittings, and pumps. This individual will be required to work closely with Engineering Firms, OEM’s, End Users, and Supply Houses. A qualified candidate will have experience in strategically pursuing sales and business development opportunities on large scale project opportunities. This role will require and individual to do technical valve and pump sales presentations and model demonstrations with engineers. Candidate must be comfortable handling technically challenging sales situations.
Qualifications & Job Duties:
- 5+ year upstream outside sales experience
- Strong understanding of valves, fittings and pumps.
- Proven sales experience related to valves, fittings, and pumps.
- Knowledge of offshore, subsea and land-based Oil and Gas applications of valves, fittings, and pumps.
- Ability to call on engineering firms and handle request for technical information.
- Existing upstream sales track record and contacts at Oil Companies, OEM’s & Engineering Firms
- Understanding of project sales cycle and ability to track and monitor project life cycles.
- Ability to perform technical sales presentations and model demos.
- Overnight travel up to 30%.
- Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
- Strong Verbal and Communication skills
- Experience with MS office.
Preferred Skills:
- Proven experience and knowledge of selling instrumentation valves and high-pressure compact valves a plus.
- Ability to work remotely.
- Strong technical aptitude.
