HOUSTON, Aug. 28, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Buckeye Partners (“Buckeye”) today announced the appointment of Donald R. Sinclair as Chairman of its Board of Directors.
Mr. Sinclair is a highly respected energy industry executive who has had a highly successful career over 40 years in the U.S. midstream energy sector. He has substantial prior experience leading large operating companies and their boards, including as President and Chief Executive Officer of Western Gas Partners (previously Anadarko Petroleum Corporation), President of Duke Energy Corporation Trading and Marketing, and Senior Vice President and Chief Risk Officer of Dynegy Inc.
In addition to his distinguished energy industry career, Mr. Sinclair has established a significant network of relationships throughout Texas that complement his connectivity in the energy sector. In March 2025, he was appointed to the Board of Regents for the Texas Tech University System. He also serves on the Board of the world-renowned University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.
Mr. Sinclair earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management from Texas Tech University and has been recognized as a Distinguished Alumnus of the Texas Tech University Rawls College of Business.
