DESCRIPTION:Thursday, August 6, 2026\n4:00 PM – 9:00 PM\nThe Bell Tower on 34th Street\nJoin the 2026 SPE Gulf Coast Section Awards & Scholarship Banquet, one of the Gulf Coast Section’s signature annual events celebrating scholarship recipients, industry leaders, and outstanding contributions to the petroleum industry.\nThis year’s theme, “Building the Capacity to Thrive: Skills, Technology, and the Future of Engineering,” highlights the importance of developing future talent while recognizing excellence within the SPE community.\nEach year, the SPE Gulf Coast Section awards more than $170,000 in scholarships to high school seniors and college students. The banquet honors the 2026 scholarship recipients, along with SPE Gulf Coast Section award winners, Gulf Coast North America Region award recipients, and Legion of Honor members. Scholarship recipients and their parents are invited to attend as special guests, with company table sponsorships helping make the event possible.\nFeatured Keynote Speaker\nDavid Reid\nChief Technology Officer & Chief Marketing Officer, NOV\nDavid Reid leads NOV’s global technology and marketing strategy and has been instrumental in advancing drilling equipment, drilling automation, and oilfield digitalization. He is a founding member of the SPE Drilling Systems Technical Section and the IADC Advanced Rig Technology Committee and regularly speaks on technology, leadership, and business innovation. He also serves on several industry boards and founded RedM, an organization focused on raising awareness and supporting efforts to end human trafficking.\nCancellation Policy\nRegistration and payment must be completed in full to guarantee attendance.
